About the Festival

The Cheongsando Slow Walking Festival, held on Cheongsando Island in Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, is a representative walking festival where visitors can experience the value of slowness amidst beautiful nature. Cheongsando was designated as Asia's first Slow City in 2007, offering a relaxing walk and healing experience amidst stone walls, rape blossoms, and the blue sea. During the festival, various activities are prepared, including walking the 42.195km Slow Road, a Moonlight Night Walk, diverse experiential programs, and performances, providing visitors with special memories. It is also loved as a healing tourism festival where visitors can relax their body and mind by experiencing Wando's pristine nature and marine healing resources.
