About the Festival
Around late March to early April, when the Yangpyeong Sansuyu Hanwoo Festival is held, sansuyu (cornelian cherry) flowers fully bloom yellow in Yangpyeong Sansuyu Village. Since ancient times, a sansuyu colony has been formed in Yangpyeong Sansuyu Village, allowing visitors to enjoy over 7,000 yellow sansuyu flowers in rice paddies, fields, and throughout the village. Additionally, there are many Hanwoo (Korean beef) farms in Gaegun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, making high-quality Hanwoo particularly famous, which can be tasted at reasonable prices during the festival. In Gaegun-myeon Sansuyu Village, which still preserves its untouched and simple rural scenery, you can heal by walking along the sansuyu flower path with family and friends, and together enjoy a festival where you can also taste Yangpyeong Hanwoo.
