About the Festival
Gomchwi, the representative spring vegetable cultivated in cool regions of Gangwon-do, is the focus of the Gomchwi Festival held every May in clean Yanggu, its largest production area. It is called "Gomchwi" because it is said to be the favorite wild vegetable of bears waking up from hibernation deep in the mountains. The fresh and crisp scent of Gomchwi stimulates the appetite in spring and is known to be effective for fatigue recovery, anti-cancer effects, blood circulation, coughs, and asthma. At the clean Yanggu Gomchwi Festival, nestled in a pristine natural environment, you can create precious memories with the best taste and nutrition, various performances, experiences, and events.
