About the Festival

It is the best cherry blossom spot where you can drive and walk along the cherry blossom-lined road around Gyeongpo Lake. During the day, fun performances and attractions are prepared, and in the evening, cherry blossom lights illuminating the entire Gyeongpo area create a spectacular view. Walking along the cherry blossom path, you will be captivated by the beautiful scenery of Gyeongpo Beach appearing. Since its start in 1993, more than 250,000 people visit the Gyeongpo Cherry Blossom Festival every year to enjoy spring in Gangneung. The main venue, Gyeongpo Wetland Square, will feature various experience programs, a cherry blossom song festival, a cherry blossom sports day, picnics, and a play zone. An event called "Catch the Cherry Blossom Thief!" will also be held, allowing visitors to enjoy every corner of Gyeongpo with fun elements as they try to catch hidden cherry blossom thieves around Gyeongpo Lake.
