About the Festival
This is the nation's largest sand festival, held annually in May and June, promoting the beauty of Haeundae, Korea's representative beach, and the value of sand as a marine resource. World-class sand sculptures, diverse experiential programs, and performances unfold each year with a new theme. In 2026, the festival will be held under the theme of 'Busan,' showcasing the city's dynamic changes from past to present and future, and its globally captivating charm. The festival runs from May 15th to May 18th, and sand sculptures can be viewed until June 14th.

1. World Sand Sculpture Exhibition: Sand sculptures created by world-class sand sculptors using the sand of Haeundae. 2. Sand Experience Programs: Challenge! I'm a Sand Sculptor too (Sand sculpture experience class), Fly Sandboard (Sand sledding), Sand Observatory, Sand Playground & Rest Area. 3. Ancillary Programs: Performances, sand artwork media art, other experience and exhibition programs, etc. *Exhibition of works until June 14th.
