About the Festival

The Ulsan Soeburi Festival is the only iron culture festival of its kind in Korea. Dalcheon Iron Mine is Korea's first iron production site, producing high-quality iron from the Proto-Three Kingdoms period to modern times, and is where the 2,000-year history of iron, which gave birth to Ulsan as a global industrial city today, breathes. The Ulsan Soeburi Festival is the most Ulsan-like festival, held every May since 2005, to succeed and develop Ulsan's industrial history and traditional iron-making culture.
