About the Festival
The Gochang Green Barley Field Festival is a representative festival of Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, centered around the green barley fields, which are one of the region's main ecological resources. Since its first inception in 2004, it has been building a long history as the premier landscape agriculture festival in the nation, attracting an average of 300,000 visitors annually. The most beautiful period during the barley's growth cycle is known as the 'green barley' period. During this time, when the barley presents its most fantastic appearance, visitors can see the green barley fields spread across approximately 770,000 square meters in the area of Hakwon Farm, Gongeum-myeon, Gochang-gun, from mid-April to mid-May each year.
