About the Festival

The Ulsan Onggi Festival is the only festival in Korea specialized in the theme of 'onggi' (earthenware), which has been with the Korean people for over a thousand years. As the festival is held in Oegosan Onggi Village, Ulju-gun, where onggi are produced using traditional methods, it naturally promotes 'onggi' as a representative local specialty and contributes to the widespread use of everyday onggi and the development of traditional industries. From demonstrations of onggi-making by artisans to hands-on onggi-making experiences, a variety of experiences, exhibitions, and performances are prepared.
