About the Festival

The 7th Yeonje Ancient Tombs Fantasy Festival will be held from April 3rd to 5th, 2026, at Oncheoncheon Citizen Park and the area around the Yeonsan-dong Ancient Tombs, under the theme "Yeonje, Blossoming into Fantasy". It was planned to strengthen local identity centered around the Yeonsan-dong Ancient Tombs, a national historic site, and to leap forward as Busan's representative festival. Major events include splendid opening performances such as the Royal Procession, Nakgwa Firework Show, and Gawang Fantasy Show, as well as the Yeonje Cherry Blossom Song Festival. Notably, this festival moves away from historical commentary, focusing on strengthening participatory content aimed at the MZ generation, such as "Morning Coffee Rave" and "Random Play Dance", making it enjoyable for all generations.

About the Festival

1. Opening and Closing Ceremonies - Opening Performance: The opening performance, announcing the revival of the royal family, involves the king of Geochilsan-guk making a splendid return and delivering the Wondu-daedo to the present king, marking the beginning of the festival with a performance of the Sword of Fire and a Nakgwa Firework Show. - Festival Theme Play: A creative musical featuring the historical and cultural elements of the Yeonsan-dong Ancient Tombs and Geochilsan-guk. - Gawang Fantasy Show: Performances by invited singers Park Ji-hyun, Oh Yu-jin, and Ara. - Closing Ceremony: Starting with a Gochwi-dae performance, the revived royal family receives the Wondu-daedo again, symbolizing the return of the royal family. 2.
