About the Festival
The 'Life, Peace, Coexistence World Writers' Network' will hold the event from March 27 (Fri) to March 29 (Sun), 2026, at Camp Greaves within the DMZ, a site of division, to foster literary discourse on democracy and peace and to promote literary connection and exchange among writers worldwide. This event is a venue for world writers to discuss literary responses to global wars and conflicts. More importantly, by holding this event in the DMZ, the world's only divided armistice zone, we aim to share the language of world literature on democracy and peace through in-depth dialogue and exchange among writers worldwide, resisting war, conflict, hatred, and discrimination, all under global attention. We seek to walk the path of literary practice oriented towards life, peace, and coexistence, where Korean literature and world literature come together to overcome the division system and alleviate tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
