About the Festival

The 'Clipper Race Stopover Event Port Week (PORT WEEK)' will be held for a week starting March 16th in the Donam Tourist Complex area. The 'Clipper Round the World Yacht Race' is a global race where yachts circumnavigate the world without stopping. This is the first time a domestic city, Tongyeong, has been selected as a stopover, and it is also the first instance of a global-scale yacht race visiting Korea. During this Port Week, various programs offering special experiences to visitors will be operated, including a spectacular departure ceremony, a maritime parade, yacht tours, RC yacht experiences, and live talk shows. In particular, at the 'PORT TABLE' session held from Friday, March 20th to Sunday, March 22nd, food collaborations featuring fresh seafood from Tongyeong presented by Korea's representative chef, Chef Kang Leo, and food booths where visitors can enjoy flavors from around the world will be available. Additionally, fringe performances and world culture festival performances will take place on an outdoor special stage, adding to the festive atmosphere. Furthermore, on Saturday, March 21st, emotional cultural programs such as the 2026 Republic of Korea Culture City Music Wave special performance by The Jazz Ambassadors Orchestra with Malo, a 'International Maritime Film Festival short film screening,' and a Clipper Race celebratory fireworks show will be prepared, creating a festival venue that all participants, tourists visiting Tongyeong, and local citizens can enjoy.
