About the Festival

Golchaeoreum, located in Seonheul 2-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju, is a hidden cherry blossom spot that village residents have carefully cultivated for over 20 years. Its name comes from the fact that the oreum's shape resembles 'Golchae' (a winnowing basket), a tool for holding grain, and it possesses a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Every spring, royal cherry blossoms bloom profusely along its gentle ridges, creating a spectacular scene where the entire oreum is covered in light pink clouds. The Golchaeoreum Cherry Blossom Festival is organized to share this natural beauty with neighbors. The festival will take place from April 4th to 5th, 2026. During the festival, in addition to walking paths along the cherry blossom tunnel, there will be sweet music performances to delight your eyes and ears, and a food market showcasing the generous hospitality of the village. Thanks to its gentle trails that anyone can comfortably ascend, it is an optimal place to enjoy the excitement of spring with family and loved ones.
