About the Festival
The Seonyang Nude Marathon is a New Year's greeting event that began on January 1, 2015, along the Gapcheon Stream in Daejeon. This event was planned with the purpose of experiencing nature bare-bodied in cold weather and welcoming the new year in a healthy way. Since 2016, it has developed into an official 'Nude Marathon' competition, establishing itself as a nationwide unique New Year's festival held annually on January 1. Participants build their health and challenging spirit through running on New Year's Day, and add to the enjoyment through various events and special awards. This event holds the festive meaning of overcoming physical limits and sharing communal energy. The 2026 competition is planned to proceed with richer programs and safety management.
