About the Festival
The Mulgeum Cherry Blossom Festival is held annually from late March to early April, during the cherry blossom season, focusing on Hwangsan Park, the largest waterfront park along the Nakdong River, and the cherry blossom path extending along the Mulgeum Station railway. It aims to create a family healing festival that people of all ages can enjoy and to revitalize local commercial areas. As the festival, which started on a small scale centered around the residents of Mulgeum-eup, has grown, it has been held as a representative city festival since 2024. In addition to the cherry blossom path, various exhibition and experiential programs and outdoor rest areas are diversely arranged throughout the Hwangsan Park area along the Nakdong River. Particularly, the cherry blossom path, originally used as a road, will be temporarily restricted for pedestrians only, allowing visitors to walk freely and enjoy their outing. Scenic lighting will also be implemented to create a beautifully sparkling promenade at night.
