About the Festival

The Andong Cherry Blossom Festival is a representative local spring festival held in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, coinciding with the cherry blossom blooming season. It is centered around the Nakdong River and major cherry blossom streets in the city, offering visitors an experience that combines natural scenery with cultural programs. During the festival, cherry blossom tunnels, nightscape lighting, street performances, hands-on programs, a flea market, and local food zones are operated. In particular, the festival schedule is flexibly adjusted to coincide with the full bloom of the cherry blossoms, and night content and resting spaces are arranged to extend visitors' stay. Furthermore, it aims to simultaneously attract tourists and vitalize the local economy through a consumption-inducing structure linked with local businesses.

Main Programs: Cherry Blossom Light Tunnel landscape production, night lighting content operation, walking path composition along the Nakdong River cherry blossom road, main stage street performances and busking programs, cherry blossom photo zones and large sculpture exhibits 2. Subsidiary Programs: Cherry Blossom theme experience booths (bead bracelet making, T-shirt making, cherry blossom landscape making), Life 4-Cut photo zone operation, cherry blossom message tree, flea market and local artist participation programs 3.
