About the Festival
In May when melon flowers bloom, the "Seongju Melon & Life Culture Festival" will be held for 4 days from May 14 (Thu) to May 17 (Sun) in Seongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, embracing the Royal Placenta Chamber of King Sejong's Princes in Seongju, where the placenta of King Danjong's baby is enshrined. Starting with the reenactment procession of the Royal Placenta Chamber of King Sejong's Princes and a program for community harmony on the first day, various events such as the opening ceremony (theme performance, congratulatory performance), Melon Song Festival, Concert of Light and Love of Life, and Byeolmoe Tug-of-War will take place. Additionally, Seed Island for families with children, Melon Lounge offering abundant melon tastings, recreation, and game experience programs, and Life Promenade, Life Theme Pavilion, and Melon Healing Park are operated against the backdrop of the beautiful Royal Willows of Seongbaksup Forest, adding a special touch.
