About the Festival
"Deoksugung Seokjojeon by Night" is a Deoksugung night viewing program consisting of a 'Seokjojeon Night Tour' with a professional guide, a 'Terrace Cafe Experience' where visitors can enjoy gabaecha (coffee), beloved by King Gojong, and desserts while listening to classical music, and a musical performance featuring stories of the Korean Empire imperial family. Starting as a pilot project in 2021, it was officially launched in 2022 due to high satisfaction and positive feedback, and has been operated semi-annually since 2023. This is a complex cultural experience program that offers the special experience of time-traveling to Deoksugung Seokjojeon, imbued with stories of the Korean Empire imperial family, guided by palace staff, and allows visitors to create lasting memories of their night at Deoksugung Seokjojeon through "Life Palace Cut" photos utilizing Gaehwagi-era props and souvenirs.
