About the Festival

The "Gwangju National Heritage Night Walk" is a night-time enjoyment type national heritage themed tourism festival where visitors can experience Gwangju's history and national heritage in Dong-gu, the heart of Gwangju's history, under the moonlight. It provides various historical and cultural experience opportunities by linking local national heritage with surrounding cultural facilities. This project is supported by the National Heritage Administration to promote the value of national heritage and revitalize local tourism. Gwangju Dong-gu has been promoting this project since 2017, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The Gwangju National Heritage Night Walk, consisting of "Eight Nights (夜)", allows visitors to enjoy Dong-gu's national heritage in diverse ways through Night Scenery (night view), Night Path (historical tour), Night Story (experience), Night Bloom (exhibition), Night Performance (performance), Night Feast (food), Night Feast (market), and Night Stay (accommodation).
