About the Festival

The "Yeoju Heungcheon Namhangang Cherry Blossom Festival," a representative spring festival of Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province, unfolds spectacularly in the Namhangang River area, boasting a blessed natural landscape. This place, loved since ancient times as "Yeogang-gil" (Yeogang Road), creates a magnificent tunnel of dazzling cherry blossoms every spring. Particularly, the Guibaek-ri area of Heungcheon-myeon, the center of the festival, will operate as a "car-free street" during the event period, allowing visitors to safely and leisurely enjoy the charm of cherry blossoms. During the day, bright cherry blossom-themed promenades can be enjoyed, and at night, a "Night Starry Road" with subtle lighting will be created, offering the romantic charm of night cherry blossoms. Various photo zones where visitors can capture memorable life photos and special stage performances to liven up the festival will be set up throughout the venue. In addition, a rich spring feast that satisfies all five senses is planned, with diverse hands-on programs for the whole family, a sales area for fresh agricultural and special products from Yeoju, and delicious food stalls, embodying the saying that even Geumgangsan (Diamond Mountains) is best appreciated after a meal.
