About the Festival

Haman dried persimmons have long been famous for their excellent taste and aroma, served to kings during the Joseon Dynasty. Haman Susigam (a variety of persimmon) is the lightest among other persimmon varieties, but when it ripened into a soft persimmon (hongsi), it became the sweetest and most fragrant. The luxurious Haman dried persimmons, crafted from this Susigam with the pure winter winds of Haman and the spirit of Aragaya, boast superb taste, aroma, and texture, making them the most delicious dried persimmons in the country. The Dried Persimmon Singing Contest is the highlight of the festival, where singers from all over the country gather to create an exciting atmosphere. Participants in the singing contest can release their hidden talents, which is great, and even better if they win an award. It's truly a festival where all attendees can mingle and enjoy.
