About the Festival
The Gongju Seokjangni Paleolithic Festival is a historical and cultural festival where children can directly experience and enjoy, naturally learning about the culture and lifestyle of the Paleolithic era. The facilities within the festival venue are designed as 'makjip' (tent houses), the living spaces of the Paleolithic era, to evoke the period as much as possible. Various experiences that combine education and play, sparking children's curiosity and creativity, are constantly operated throughout the festival period. In addition to child-friendly experiences, various photo zones targeting the younger generation offer an opportunity to heal in nature and capture "life shots" (instagrammable photos). Every May, the Seokjangni Paleolithic Festival offers a time travel to the Paleolithic era, full of diverse experiences and sights.
