About the Festival
To commemorate the 107th anniversary of the March 1st Movement, '1919 Seodaemun, The Roar of That Day' will be held from February 28th to March 1st at Seodaemun Independence Park, Seodaemun Prison History Hall, and Wesley Chapel Hall of Methodist Theological University. By holding commemorative events that all citizens can participate in, the values of freedom and peace pursued by patriotic ancestors are shared. Commemorative ceremonies, 'Manse' movement marches, and various experiential programs will be operated at historical sites in Seodaemun-gu, transforming the area around Seodaemun Independence Park into a sacred place for the independence movement once again.
