About the Festival

The Cheorwon Hantan River Ice Trekking Festival is Cheorwon-gun's representative winter festival, held against the backdrop of the Hantan River's beautiful snow scenery. It is registered in the 'Korea Festival Content Awards' Hall of Fame and designated as an excellent festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for 2026-2027. This festival is linked to the Cheorwon Hantan River Mulwitgil Trekking Course. Throughout the festival period, various performances and winter-related experiences can be enjoyed at the main venue, the lower part of Seungilgyo Bridge, as well as the snow scenery of the Hantan River. Events such as the 'Ddongbaram Altong Gubo Competition' (Strong Wind Bicep Run Competition) are also held.
