About the Festival
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival is the only festival in Seoul themed around the prehistoric era. It boasts a variety of programs that not only promote the historical value of prehistoric sites but also allow visitors to experience the lifestyle of prehistoric people. This year, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Amsa-dong Prehistoric Site in Seoul, the festival is structured into separate spaces based on the four elements of 'Water, Fire, Earth, and Wind,' under the theme '6000 Years of Breath, 100 Years of Light, 30 Years of Resonance.' Each space will be filled for three days with productions tailored to the characteristics of its theme, various exhibitions, experiential and night programs, delicious food, and diverse performances, offering visitors special pleasures that transcend past and present.
