About the Festival

The 2025 Yeoju Ogoknaru Festival is a traditional cultural festival held based on the historical background of Yeoju's excellent agricultural specialties, such as rice and sweet potatoes, being presented to the king through Jopo Naru, one of the four major ferry ports during the Joseon Dynasty. Key programs include the Jinjang Parade, Yeoju Rice Gamashot Bibimbap, Grilled Sweet Potato Guinness, Wish Paper Path, and Nakwhanori (fireworks play). It is a representative autumn festival that people of all ages can enjoy through various foods, traditional experiences, and night programs.

About the Festival

1. Representative Programs - Yeoju Rice Gamashot Bibimbap: A program where you can taste Yeoju's new rice bibimbap cooked in a large gamashot (iron pot) at an affordable price. - Grilled Sweet Potato Guinness: A large-scale performance where Yeoju sweet potatoes roasted in 10 extra-large sweet potato ovens are shared by everyone. - Jinjang Parade: A parade that recreates the story of Yeoju agricultural specialties being presented to Hanyang (Seoul) from Jopo Naru during the Joseon Dynasty. - Wish Paper Path: A suspension bridge 'Wish Paper Path' that contains the legend that wishes come true if you make one while looking at the Namhangang River. - Yeoju Heunam-ri Ssangyonggeo Tug-of-war: A traditional tug-of-war procession performed by residents of Heunam-ri Village, Jeomdong-myeon, wishing for a bountiful harvest on Jeongwol Daeboreum (the first full moon of the lunar year). - Yeoju Bonduri Nakwhanori: A traditional firework display in Bonduri, Ganam-eup, creating a spectacular scene of sparks scattering over the Namhangang River. 2.
